The 73rd Board of Governors meeting of the World Water Council took place.

On April 1, the 73rd Board of Governors meeting of the World Water Council (WWC) was held in the format of a videoconference.

At the event, the main directions of the WWC’s activities in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic were discussed and the reports of the working groups were heard. Then the initial version “Water Security – a component of environmental security” declaration of WWC was presented.

Then, a report was heard on the state of preparation for the 9th World Water Forum, which will be held on March 21-26, 2022, and the potential opportunities of countries wishing to become the hosts of the 10th World Water Forum were analyzed.

The meeting was attended by Farda Imanov, an alternative member of WWC Board of Governors, deputy director of the “Sukanal” Scientific Research and Design  Institute.
